Purpose Beyond Profit is a not-for-profit initiative that TPG started in 2018 that works to leverage our unique business and operational skill sets to support our community in a sustainable way. Each year, TPG supports team member involvement by donating a portion of consultant hours to worthy charitable causes through providing in-kind service expertise that dramatically impacts each organization. This initiative speaks to the values of the TPG team because we are dedicated to supporting causes that are close to our hearts, giving back to the larger community, and using our skills to expand social initiatives.
TPG assessed THS’s current state and created a process to improve operational efficiency and business strategy. We implemented an organizational review exercise that provided them with invaluable insights and program recommendations that have and will continue to impact their organizational effectiveness and capacity to deliver on their path to improve the lives of animals.
SCAW has tracked a lot of data but was unable to use the data for meaningful purposes. TPG created a visual dashboard for the data as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) so that the organization can make meaningful use of both past and future data
TPG helped Princess Margaret Foundation with strategic decision making regarding the structure of a campaign. We also conducted leadership training workshops to support team building and cohesion.
The organization we partnered with works with the community to promote personal and social change in order to achieve a safe, healthy and accepting society for all. This organization enables individuals, families and groups in the community to gain greater control over their lives and within their community. They are committed to reflecting the changing face of our society.
We used our expertise to drive operational efficiencies so that the organization gets the most out of their funding dollars, and improve the processes and tools in the adult literacy program.
180 DC is world’s largest university-based consultancy. They select committed students from the University of Toronto and engage with non-profits, charities, and social enterprises to help them overcome their most pressing business issues.
We helped this organization by providing high level guidance and project direction to a group of student consultants who were tasked with improving the overall structure and awareness of a student union organization. TPG offered direction and feedback as the engagement progressed, and passed on our expertise and best practices to eager students getting started in the consulting field.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a volunteer-based organization that helps support families with children who are seriously sick. Many of these families come to SickKids from across the country, and are forced to up-route their lives for prolonged periods of time. RHMC acts as a home away from home when the children are in treatment. However, families are responsible for preparing their own meals, which can be both a time and financial burden when they are running back and forth from the hospital.
RMHC’s Home for Dinner program brings in groups of people to buy and prepare a meal for the families staying at the facility a couple nights a week. This March, TPG participated in the Home For Dinner program by preparing a Greek Chicken meal!
We are truly fortunate in many ways with careers, friendship, security and family because there are many others who do not have such. As a part of our Purpose Beyond Profit, this holiday season, each TPG employee was given some money to “Pay it forward” and help those who are less fortunate by supporting a cause or organization of their choice. Check out how each TPG member decided to use their money!
Integrity is doing the right thing even when nobody is watching. For the donation for purpose beyond profit, David Poirier decided to “Pay it Forward”
