TPG Spotlight: Meet Allison Gage

“Working with a core team of ~30 means you get to work with everyone in some capacity and allows us to get to know each other very well. Our team is more family than colleagues and that really shows as we take our commitment to each other beyond the workplace.“

What inspired you get into consulting?

I like variety and enjoy helping people, so consulting was the perfect fit. I enjoy working in different industries and working with our clients to create sustainable improvements that make people’s lives better.

What has been your favourite part of working with TPG?

Our people! In this industry our project teams spend a lot of time together and end up with close interpersonal relationships that lead to a feeling closer to that of a family than an office. Our team is filled with incredibly talented servant leaders who also like to have a lot of fun. That creates a unique culture centered around integrity and serving the highest good of our clients.

What is something you are passionate about outside of work?

Giving back and serving are important aspects for me and TPG has allowed me to intertwine this both on a personal and professional level. We give back formally through our Purpose Beyond Profit program which allows us to donate our consulting services to not-for-profit and charities and we’re also provided hands-on opportunities in other areas. These initiatives strongly align with my values which is why working here has been a great fit.

Big Firm vs Small Firm?

Working with a core team of ~30 means you get to work with everyone in some capacity and allows us to get to know each other very well. Our team is more family than colleagues and that really shows as we take our commitment to each other beyond the workplace. It is not unusual for consultants to arrange calls in the evening to provide assistance or advisory support on another project.

Another unique highlight that comes from our small size is that we are all able to connect with our company’s namesake directly to form personal relationships. Not many people get to hang out and receive mentoring from their President or CEO on a regular basis!
