Challenge

Following a period of strong growth, (both organically and through a series of strategic acquisitions) this company realized that their existing framework and business processes had led to inefficiencies extending new client implementation lead times well beyond reason.  

Discovery

TPG was brought in to streamline business processes, maximize the efficiency of new client implementations, and establish a framework to ensure the sustainability of these processes. The project directive was to reduce the cost and time required for new client implementations by 30-50%. These efficiencies would allow this client to further expand their middle market share through competitive implementation proposals. Some highlights from the client engagement include: 

  • Value stream and cost analysis, introduction of Kaizen and Agile Workshops to break down the implementation process into achievable sprints 
  • Lean Six Sigma tools utilized in the Kaizen Workshop led to development of 31 solutions to achieve the 30-50% efficiency targets   
  • Development of future state processes led to the determination of future state roles and responsibilities that would support the future state
  • Project progress & visibility were introduced through the creation of a central repository for implementation documentation and an implementation dashboard
