Greg Calaman is a Senior Advisor at The Poirier Group and a Senior Partner of The Lucas Group where he is a leader in the firm’s Private Equity practice.
Greg brings 360 degree insight, cultivated through roles in management consulting, board-level strategy, and general management in companies ranging from the Fortune 50 to venture-backed start-ups. His reputation as a trusted advisor crosses many industries with especially deep perspective in the healthcare, technology, and finance sectors.
Prior, Greg has served as Head of North America for VC-backed, Nobel Laureate- software company Definiens AG where he drove sales, set strategy, and built a winning culture. At Pfizer, he led deployment of $200M in investment capital against high-ROI, and internal IT opportunities, contributing to a near $1B rise in EBITDA.
Greg also founded iArmor, a pioneering health-tech company he created to monetize continuous physiological information on at-risk outpatients. Greg was recruited to build a high-growth services unit at BEA Systems (acquired by Oracle) where he exceeded targets. At Computer Sciences Corporation, he worked with life sciences and consumer products’ clients on transformation activities. At Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (acquired by Credit Suisse), Greg led a strategic function that deployed technologies to drive competitive advantage, including Wall Street’s first all-digital trading floor. As a commissioned officer in the US Navy, Greg served in several leadership roles.
Greg holds a BS in Aerospace/Astro Engineering from the US Naval Academy and was sponsored by BEA to attend a Wharton Executive Education program. He has served on advisory boards at Drexel University and the Trestle Group Foundation.
